Vinyl Chemicals (India) posted Q1 FY27 results with PAT at Rs 662 lakhs, up 48.8% from Rs 445 lakhs a year ago. PBT rose to Rs 889 lakhs from Rs 602 lakhs. However, revenue from operations fell sharply to Rs 9,964 lakhs from Rs 15,123 lakhs (down 34%), pulling total income down to Rs 10,592 lakhs. EPS rose to Rs 3.61 from Rs 2.42. Lower purchase of traded goods and favorable inventory movement boosted margins. Auditor Mehul Gada & Associates issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Mixed quarter - strong profit growth but on a sharply lower revenue base. Margin expansion is positive, but sustained revenue decline is a concern for shareholders.
