Vishal Bearings Ltd reported a full-year loss for FY25, reversing the profit posted in FY24. Annual revenue from operations fell to Rs. 8,664.19 lakhs from Rs. 9,668.12 lakhs, a decline of about 10%. Total revenue dropped 12% to Rs. 8,688.66 lakhs. The company swung to a net loss of Rs. 259.21 lakhs against a profit of Rs. 110.54 lakhs in FY24, driven mainly by sharply higher finance costs (up 39% to Rs. 479.01 lakhs) and higher depreciation. EPS turned negative at Rs. (2.13). On a brighter note, Q4 FY25 standalone showed a recovery with a net profit of Rs. 97.59 lakhs on revenue of Rs. 2,213.69 lakhs. The auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Negative for shareholders — annual profitability collapsed and revenue shrank, while debt levels remain elevated with total borrowings of around Rs. 5,546 lakhs against equity of Rs. 3,315 lakhs (D/E about 1.67x). The Q4 turnaround may offer some near-term relief but does not offset the full-year weakness.
