On the reaction day the stock moved 3.7 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.1 pts less than its Diversified Retail peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Revenue rose 22.1% to Rs 806.87 crore in the September quarter, but the net loss was Rs 8.87 crore versus Rs 56.51 crore last year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose to Rs 71.51 crore from Rs 38.62 crore. Six-month revenue was Rs 1,692.09 crore and profit was Rs 24.73 crore, versus a Rs 44.37 crore loss last year. Past earnings per share figures were adjusted for the 1:3 bonus issue. The results were unaudited.
Sales growth, stronger earnings and a six-month profit turnaround are positive, but the quarterly loss keeps the near-term picture mixed.
