On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 0.3 pts less than its Telecom - Cellular & Fixed line services peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Vodafone Idea's board approved a corporate guarantee and share pledge to back a Rs 3,300 crore NCD issue by its wholly-owned subsidiary VITIL. VITIL will issue unlisted, unrated, secured, redeemable non-convertible debentures. Vodafone Idea and another subsidiary VICSL will guarantee the payments to debenture trustee IDBI Trusteeship Services. Vodafone Idea will also pledge 100 percent of VITIL's equity shares as security. This adds a contingent liability at the parent level. In case of default, the trustee can invoke the share pledge.
Adds contingent liability for Vodafone Idea. Entire VITIL stake pledged, raising default risk concerns. No fresh equity dilution, but debt load rises.
