Voith Paper Fabrics India reported revenue from operations of Rs. 496.93 million for Q3 FY26, up about 20.7% from Rs. 411.78 million in Q3 FY25. Total income for the quarter stood at Rs. 539.73 million versus Rs. 456.55 million a year ago. Profit before exceptional item and tax rose to Rs. 146.73 million (vs Rs. 109.65 million), but the company booked a one-time exceptional charge of Rs. 36.43 million as incremental gratuity provision following the government's new Labour Codes notification. After the exceptional item and tax, profit for the quarter came in at Rs. 81.89 million, only marginally higher than Rs. 80.09 million in Q3 FY25. Basic EPS for the quarter was Rs. 18.64 versus Rs. 18.24 last year. The statutory auditors (Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP) issued an unmodified review conclusion.
Strong topline growth in Q3 is encouraging, but the exceptional gratuity provision and higher tax outgo have largely neutralised operating gains at the bottomline. Short-term PAT growth is muted despite robust revenue expansion; investors should watch margin trajectory and any further one-time hits as Labour Code rules are finalised.
