Voltas Limited reported FY26 consolidated total income of ₹14,483 crores, down 8% from ₹15,737 crores in FY25. Full-year PAT fell to ₹370 crores from ₹834 crores in FY25 — a 56% decline — amid volatile weather in H1, commodity inflation, and currency headwinds impacting the cooling segment. Q4 FY26 showed some sequential recovery with income of ₹4,930 crores vs ₹4,847 crores in Q4 FY25, but PAT still dropped to ₹113 crores from ₹236 crores. SRBC & Co. LLP issued an unmodified audit opinion, but drew an Emphasis of Matter regarding a ₹433.34 crore bank guarantee litigation in Qatar where the Court of Appeal ruled in Voltas' favour. The Board recommended a dividend of ₹4 per share (400%). The auditors flagged uncertainty around whether the ruling may be challenged at a higher forum.
The steep PAT decline and revenue contraction are negatives for shareholders, though the cooling segment recovery in Q4 and retained market leadership provide some comfort. The unresolved Qatar litigation, though currently favourable, introduces contingent liability risk.
