WPIL reported strong consolidated revenue growth of about 41% YoY in Q3 FY26 at Rs 53,871.75 lakhs versus Rs 38,160.22 lakhs last year, driven largely by the Pumps & Accessories and Project segments. Consolidated profit after tax jumped to Rs 7,556.33 lakhs from Rs 3,705.42 lakhs, more than doubling YoY, with profit before tax rising to Rs 10,926.78 lakhs versus Rs 4,563.35 lakhs. For 9M FY26, consolidated revenue grew to Rs 1,34,332.36 lakhs and PAT to Rs 15,309.12 lakhs, helped by newly acquired subsidiaries such as Paterson Candy International and Misa. On a standalone basis, however, 9M revenue declined to Rs 56,153.42 lakhs (from Rs 78,669.60 lakhs) and standalone PAT fell to Rs 7,674.52 lakhs (from Rs 9,776.45 lakhs), reflecting revenue softness in the parent's Works Contract business. The board also approved re-appointment of Mr. B.P. Khare as Executive Director (Operations) and Mrs. Samarpita Bose as Independent Director, shifted the registered office within Kolkata, and increased authorised share capital to Rs 12 crore. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified limited review opinion on both sets of results.
Sharp improvement in consolidated PAT and margins, lifted by overseas subsidiaries and the Pumps segment, is a positive for shareholders. The standalone weakness partly offsets the optimism, but overall the quarterly print signals stronger earnings power and should be supportive of the stock sentiment.
