Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited announced Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results with consolidated revenue from operations of Rs. 603.19 crores, up sharply from Rs. 236.35 crores in Q1 FY25 (around 155% year-on-year growth). Net profit for the quarter surged to Rs. 86.39 crores from Rs. 28.16 crores a year ago, with basic EPS at Rs. 8.29. The growth was led by the EPC Contracts segment, which contributed Rs. 594.40 crores in revenue. Separately, the board approved a Rs. 7.98 crore investment in Smart Joules Private Limited (SJPL), an energy efficiency and cooling solutions company, through purchase of equity shares and subscription to compulsory convertible preference shares, giving WRTL a 3.23% stake on a fully diluted basis. The transaction is not a related party deal and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2025.
Very strong quarterly performance with revenue and profit more than doubling year-on-year, likely to be viewed positively by investors. The small strategic investment in SJPL expands WRTL's footprint into energy efficiency solutions, though the 3.23% stake is minor and unlikely to materially affect financials.
