The Board of Wallfort Financial Services Ltd approved unaudited standalone results for the quarter and half year ended 30 September 2025. For Q2 FY26, the company swung to a loss of Rs. 397.07 lakhs versus a profit of Rs. 1,527.51 lakhs in the previous quarter (Q1 FY26), with basic EPS turning negative at Rs. (4.10). Total income for the quarter collapsed to Rs. 99.84 lakhs from Rs. 2,065.70 lakhs, mainly because net gain on fair value changes turned negative at Rs. (701.32) lakhs versus a positive Rs. 1,153.52 lakhs earlier. On a half-year basis (H1 FY26), total income fell about 55% year-on-year to Rs. 2,165.54 lakhs, profit before tax dropped to Rs. 1,258.48 lakhs from Rs. 3,873.93 lakhs, and profit after tax fell to Rs. 1,130.44 lakhs from Rs. 3,427.14 lakhs. Net cash used in operating activities was negative at Rs. (137.29) lakhs for the half year. The statutory auditor (M/s Kochar & Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications.
Sharp quarter-on-quarter swing to loss and a steep YoY fall in half-year profits, driven by mark-to-market losses, are negative for the stock and raise concerns about earnings volatility. Combined with negative operating cash flow, this may pressure investor sentiment despite a clean audit report.
