Welspun Living's Board approved a share buyback of up to 1.44 crore equity shares at ₹175 per share for an aggregate amount not exceeding ₹252 crore, representing 1.50% of paid-up capital. The company also approved Q4FY26 results showing revenue of ₹2,451 crore with 7.7% sequential recovery, though FY26 full-year revenue declined 11.5% to ₹9,468 crore. EBITDA margin compressed to 9.1% for FY26 versus 13.6% in FY25, with PAT falling 68% to ₹204 crore. The Board recommended a dividend of ₹0.10 per share (10%) and approved acquisition of 26% stake in CleanMax Dhyuthi Private Limited for ₹760 lakhs from promoter group entity Welspun Corp Limited for renewable energy supply to its Vapi factory. Management changes include resignation of COO Mr. Altaf Jiwani and appointment of Mr. Keyur Parekh as Whole-time Director.
The buyback signals management confidence in undervaluation and will provide support to the stock price, while the strong sequential recovery in Q4 suggests the business trough may be behind. However, significant revenue and profit declines for FY26 warrant caution for investors focused on growth.
