Welspun Living's Board approved a buyback of up to 1.44 crore equity shares at ₹175 per share for a total amount not exceeding ₹252 crore. This represents 1.50% of the company's paid-up capital and will be executed via the tender offer route. The record date for the buyback is May 22, 2026. Separately, the company reported Q4FY26 revenue of ₹2,451 crore with sequential recovery, while full-year FY26 revenue declined 11.5% to ₹9,468 crore due to global headwinds including US tariff disruptions. Net profit for FY26 fell 68% to ₹204 crore. The Board also recommended a dividend of ₹0.10 per share (10%) for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM with a record date of July 10, 2026. Additionally, the company approved acquiring a 26% stake in CleanMax Dhyuthi Private Limited for ₹7.6 crore to enhance renewable energy supply to its Vapi factory, and announced leadership changes with the resignation of COO Altaf Jiwani and appointment of Keyur Parekh as Whole-time Director.
The ₹252 crore buyback at ₹175 per share signals management confidence in the company's intrinsic value and provides direct price support. Combined with the dividend and strong free cash flow generation (₹956 crore in FY26), these shareholder-friendly actions are positive for investors amid challenging operating conditions.
