Wendt GmbH, the promoter of Wendt (India) Limited, has informed the NSE that it will exercise the oversubscription option in its ongoing Offer for Sale (OFS). The base offer was originally 600,000 equity shares (30% of paid-up capital) on May 15-16, 2025. Now, an additional 150,000 shares (7.50% of paid-up capital) will be sold, raising the total OFS size to 750,000 equity shares, or 37.50% of the company's total issued and paid-up equity share capital. On the second day (T+1, May 16, 2025), up to 75,000 shares (3.75%) will be available, including a portion reserved for retail investors.
The promoter selling more shares than originally planned increases near-term supply in the market, which could weigh on the stock price. However, exercising the oversubscription option usually signals strong demand in the base offer, suggesting investors bid aggressively at the floor price.
