On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.1 pts more than its Paper & Paper Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
West Coast Paper Mills reported Q2 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 644.53 crore, up 16 percent QoQ, with PAT at Rs 45.02 crore (up 10 percent QoQ) and EPS of Rs 6.82. Consolidated results were sharply weaker: revenue at Rs 1,043 crore was up 9 percent QoQ, but EBITDA collapsed 42 percent to Rs 90.55 crore, PAT fell 80 percent to Rs 11.91 crore, and PAT margin compressed 500 basis points to 1 percent. The weakness came from subsidiary Andhra Paper Limited due to a brief workers strike and a 14-day planned annual shutdown at the Rajahmundry plant. Management cited elevated paper imports and high wood costs as ongoing headwinds.
Negative near-term sentiment likely as consolidated profit slumped on subsidiary disruption and margin pressure, though standalone operations remain stable.
