Westlife Foodworld Limited (McDonald's master franchisee for West and South India) has reported audited consolidated results for FY2026. Total revenue grew 6.7% to Rs 2,65,697 lakhs from Rs 2,49,119 lakhs in FY2025. Profit after tax surged 191% to Rs 3,541 lakhs from Rs 1,215 lakhs, driven primarily by an exceptional gain of Rs 5,817 lakhs from a redevelopment transaction (transfer of ownership store properties in Mumbai). Excluding exceptional items, the underlying profit improvement reflects better operational efficiency. The auditor SRBC & CO LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated financial statements. The subsidiary HRPL declared a dividend of Rs 72 per share. Cash flow from operations was strong at Rs 35,083 lakhs.
The stock should see positive reaction given strong PAT growth, though investors should note that much of the profit increase is due to the one-time redevelopment gain rather than operational improvement. Revenue growth at 6.7% is moderate.
