Wim Plast Limited reported flat revenue from operations at ₹8,987.71 lakhs in Q1FY26 versus ₹9,033.65 lakhs in Q1FY25. Standalone profit after tax grew about 16% to ₹1,688.58 lakhs from ₹1,451.09 lakhs, while EPS rose to ₹14.07 from ₹12.09. The bottom-line growth was largely driven by a sharp jump in other income (₹1,119 lakhs vs ₹563 lakhs), which appears to be investment income given the company's large treasury. On a consolidated basis, PAT was ₹1,692.82 lakhs (EPS ₹14.10). Segment-wise, the core Plastics, Furniture & allied products business grew ~5% in revenue, but the Others (Moulds) segment saw revenue drop sharply to ₹213.83 lakhs and posted a wider loss of ₹93.07 lakhs. The auditor (Jeswani & Rathore) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Core operating revenue was flat YoY, so the headline profit growth is largely on the back of non-operating investment income rather than business expansion. The struggling moulds segment remains a drag. For shareholders, the strong treasury and negligible debt cushion the company, but watch for sustainability of other income and any turnaround in the moulds business.
