Xpro India reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue of INR 14,490 lacs, up modestly from INR 13,853 lacs a year ago. However, standalone net profit fell sharply to INR 430 lacs from INR 1,402 lacs, a drop of about 69% year-on-year, pulling EPS down to INR 1.93 from INR 6.36. On a consolidated basis, the company swung to a net loss of INR 548 lacs versus a profit of INR 1,402 lacs last year, mainly dragged by its UAE subsidiary Xpro Dielectric Films FZ-LLC which recorded a loss of about INR 979 lacs. The steep fall in profitability was largely driven by a foreign exchange loss of INR 742 lacs (standalone) and INR 1,672 lacs (consolidated) caused by an 8.5% rise in EUR/INR rates during the quarter on Euro-denominated supplier credits. The auditor (Walker Chandiok & Co LLP) issued a clean limited review with no qualifications, and comparative figures were reclassified under Ind AS 8. A dividend of INR 2 per share for FY25 was approved by shareholders on July 25, 2025.
Sharp drop in profitability and a consolidated loss are negative for near-term sentiment, though the FX hit is largely a non-cash, mark-to-market adjustment that may reverse over time. Investors should watch subsidiary performance and margin recovery in coming quarters before drawing longer-term conclusions.
