Yash Chemex Limited reported a sharp jump in revenue but weaker profitability for Q2 and H1 FY26. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations rose 45% YoY to Rs. 2,256 lakhs in Q2 and 72% to Rs. 4,031 lakhs in H1, while standalone net profit was nearly flat at Rs. 75.85 lakhs in H1 (vs Rs. 75.53 lakhs). On a consolidated basis (including subsidiary Yasons Chemex Care Limited), revenue grew 58% YoY in Q2 to Rs. 3,865 lakhs and 81% in H1 to Rs. 6,875 lakhs, but consolidated net profit fell 24% in H1 to Rs. 177 lakhs from Rs. 234 lakhs. Operating margins compressed notably on a standalone basis (H1 PBT margin ~2.5% vs ~5.1% prior year). Statutory auditor S. L. Patel & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) limited review opinion on both sets of results.
Strong top-line growth is a positive, but the sharp margin compression and decline in consolidated profits despite higher revenue may weigh on the stock. Investors should watch whether cost controls and the new subsidiary contribution improve profitability in coming quarters.
