Yes Bank won its appeal against income tax orders for assessment year 2018-19. The first level appellate authority ruled in the Bank's favor in October and December 2025, overturning earlier additions and disallowances. As a result, the Bank will receive an income tax refund of Rs 879 Crores, including interest and tax benefit on certain expenses. This reverses the earlier additional tax demand of Rs 112.81 Crores raised in March 2024.
Positive: Rs 879 Cr refund strengthens Bank's financials, reversing prior Rs 112.81 Cr tax demand from 2024.
