Zaggle Prepaid has allotted 10,58,201 convertible warrants at Rs 567 each on preferential basis, with total potential issue value of about Rs 60 crore. 25 percent upfront (around Rs 15 crore) has been received. Allottees are RAN Ventures Private Limited (promoter group, 3,52,734 warrants) and Bennett Coleman and Company Limited, parent of the Times Group (non-promoter, 7,05,467 warrants). Allotees must pay the remaining 75 percent within 18 months to convert warrants into equity shares. Paid-up share capital stays unchanged until conversion happens.
Bennett Coleman, parent of Times Group, taking a sizeable stake signals strong institutional confidence. Warrants mean potential dilution later, but fresh capital inflow supports growth. Watch price action.
