Sunbright Mauritius Investments, part of Zee's promoter group, was allotted 20.94 crore convertible warrants through a preferential allotment on August 21, 2026. Each warrant can be converted into one equity share of Rs. 1 face value within 18 months. This gives Sunbright a potential 17.90 percent stake in Zee's diluted share capital. The entity held no shares before this acquisition, so this is a fresh entry by the promoter group via preferential route rather than open market.
Promoter group takes a 17.9pct potential stake via warrants, signalling fresh capital infusion and stronger promoter commitment to Zee.
