Zuari Agro Chemicals' board, at its July 31, 2025 meeting, approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations grew about 14% YoY to Rs. 1,246 crore, and profit after tax jumped more than four-fold to Rs. 127 crore versus Rs. 29 crore in Q1 FY25. Standalone results remain weak, with revenue falling sharply to under Rs. 1 crore and a loss of Rs. 18.6 crore. The board also approved a one-year extension for the repayment of Rs. 60 crore of inter-corporate deposits taken from related party Zuari Industries Limited. Statutory auditor K.P. Rao & Co. issued an unmodified limited review report but flagged emphasis-of-matter notes on a pending SEBI show-cause notice, an MCFL urea subsidy dispute, and the proposed MCFL-Paradeep Phosphates merger.
Strong consolidated earnings growth and profit jump are positive signals, supported by resumed Mahad plant operations. However, the continuing standalone losses, dependence on related-party funding (Rs. 60 crore ICD extension), and unresolved SEBI regulatory matter may keep investor sentiment cautious.
