On the reaction day the stock moved 1.3 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.4 pts less than its Packaged Foods peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

ZWPL, a Zydus Wellness subsidiary, received a September 30, 2025 GST order on October 28, confirming a demand of 56.33 crore for tax on intellectual property acquired from Heinz Italia before January 30, 2019, plus interest and penalty. ZWPL is reviewing the order and may appeal. It says this pre-2019 claim is fully covered by Heinz Italia.
The company expects no operating impact. Heinz Italia's indemnity limits shareholder risk despite appeal uncertainty and possible interest or penalty.
