This Privacy Policy explains how MarketPing(a sole proprietorship based in Thane, Maharashtra, India — “MarketPing”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use the website marketping.inand the related services, alerts, and applications (together, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
1. Who we are
MarketPing is operated as a sole proprietorship in India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and applicable rules, MarketPing is the “Data Fiduciary” that determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data. 2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
a. Information you give us
- Account data: your email address, mobile/WhatsApp number, and (optionally) your name. Email and phone number are verified via one-time codes.
- Preferences: the companies on your watchlist, industries, alert categories and signals you subscribe to, importance thresholds, and channel settings.
- Communications: messages, bug reports, feature requests, and support tickets you send us, including any contact details and content you choose to include.
b. Payment information
Payments are processed by our third-party payment gateway, Razorpay Software Private Limited. We do notcollect or store your full card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or bank credentials on our servers. We retain a transaction record (payment ID, plan or credits purchased, amount, status, and timestamps) for billing, accounting, and statutory compliance. Your payment is governed by Razorpay’s own privacy policy.
c. Information collected automatically
- Technical & device data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from your IP.
- Usage data: how you interact with the Service, including alerts delivered, opened, and acted upon, for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service.
- Cookies & analytics: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service, and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage. See Section 9.
d. Information from third parties
If you sign in using Google, we receive your basic profile information (such as name and email address) from Google in accordance with the permissions you grant.
3. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
- To deliver alerts and notifications to your chosen channels (WhatsApp and/or email).
- To process payments, manage subscriptions and credits, and send billing communications.
- To personalise the content, watchlist, and alerts you receive.
- To provide customer support and respond to your tickets, bug reports, and requests.
- To operate, maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service and prevent abuse and fraud.
- To comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
- To send you service, security, and transactional messages.
4. Legal basis & consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you provide when you create an account and use the Service, and for the legitimate, lawful purposes described above (including performing our contract with you and meeting legal obligations). You may withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 8; withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may limit or end your ability to use the Service.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below:
- Service providers (Data Processors): trusted vendors who process data on our behalf and under our instructions, including Razorpay (payments), Google (authentication and analytics), WhatsApp / Meta Platforms (message delivery), and our hosting, email, and infrastructure providers.
- Legal & safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MarketPing, our users, or others, and to prevent fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our assets, in which case your data may be transferred subject to this Policy.
6. Market & company data
The prices, filings, corporate announcements, fundamentals, and related information shown in the Service are sourced from stock exchanges, regulatory filings, and other public or third-party sources. This is information about companies and markets — it is not your personal data, and we make no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. 7. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account or withdraw consent, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it longer to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- access and obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction, completion, or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your personal data, subject to our retention obligations;
- withdraw your consent to processing at any time;
- nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- grievance redressal in respect of any of the above.

9. Cookies & analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to authenticate you and keep the Service secure. We also use Google Analytics to collect aggregate, anonymised usage statistics that help us understand and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
12. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data on servers located outside India. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
