A-1 Ltd (formerly A-1 Acid Limited), a BSE-listed chemical and logistics company, is increasing its stake in A-1 Sureja Industries from 45% to 51% by acquiring an additional 6% interest. The acquisition, done through cash consideration at arm's length valuation, gives A-1 Sureja subsidiary status. A-1 Sureja, established in 2008, manufactures electric motorcycles (flagship model: Hurry-E, ARAI-certified, top speed 70 km/h) at its Bavla, Gujarat facility. The enterprise value of A-1 Sureja is pegged at ₹100 Cr based on a DCF valuation by Bhavin R. Patel & Co. Post-acquisition, A-1 Sureja's financials will be consolidated into A-1 Ltd's books. A-1 Ltd is targeting ₹1,000 Cr in revenue from the EV segment alone by FY 2030.
This is a strategic positive for shareholders — consolidating A-1 Sureja's EV business will boost earnings visibility, strengthen A-1 Ltd's ESG profile, and could support a potential re-rating in the mid-cap space as the company diversifies from chemicals into clean energy mobility.
