On the reaction day the stock moved 1.4 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.2 pts less than its Housing Finance Company peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Aavas Financiers' board, at its June 30, 2025 meeting, formally noted the completion of the sale of 2,09,49,112 equity shares (about 2.09 crore shares) by existing promoters Lake District Holdings Limited and Partners Group entities to Aquilo House Pte. Ltd. (a CVC Capital Partners vehicle), originally agreed via share sale agreements dated August 10, 2024. Following the closing, the existing sellers have ceased to be in control and stand reclassified as public shareholders, while Aquilo House Pte. Ltd. has become the new promoter of the company. Five non-executive nominee directors representing the outgoing promoters resigned with effect from the closing date. The board also appointed five new non-executive nominee directors — all senior CVC professionals — subject to shareholder approval, for a five-year term ending June 29, 2030.
This is a major change-of-control event for Aavas Financiers, with global private equity major CVC taking over as the new promoter. The stock could see re-rating or volatility in the near term as the market digests the new ownership; shareholders should track any consequent mandatory open offer to public shareholders and the strategic direction set by the new CVC-led board.
