Acme Solar Holdings, through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Pokhran Solar Private Limited, has commissioned the first phase of 26.4 MW out of a total 50 MW wind power project at Shapar, Gujarat. This is the company's maiden wind power project. With this commissioning, the company's total operational renewable generation capacity has risen from 2,705 MW to 2,731.4 MW. The project uses Envision 3.3 MW turbines, was financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC), and built through in-house EPC. Power from the project will be sold under a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. Acme Solar's overall portfolio stands at 6,970 MW, with another 4,238.6 MW at various stages of implementation.
Positive for shareholders — the commissioning expands operational capacity, adds a new revenue stream under a long-term PPA, and supports growth in earnings and operating margins as the wind project ramps up.
