ACME Solar has commissioned 142.67 MW / 481.49 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity in Rajasthan under phase-1 of a larger planned 585 MW / 2,011.24 MWh BESS project across its SPVs. The BESS units are connected to the Inter-State Transmission System and will initially operate on a merchant basis, earning revenue from peak vs. off-peak price differences, before being integrated with the company's FDRE (round-the-clock renewable) projects under 25-year PPAs. The company's overall portfolio stands at 8,071 MW, with 2,966 MW operational and 5,105 MW under construction including ~16.5 GWh of BESS. A total of ~17 GWh of BESS installation is planned across multiple states in phases.
