Adani Green Energy's stepdown subsidiary (Adani Green Energy Twenty Five B Limited) has signed a Power Consumption Agreement and a Tripartite Agreement with Asahi India Glass Limited to supply 20.8 MW of solar-wind hybrid power. The power will come from a 25 MW solar plant and 20.8 MW wind plant at Khavda, Gujarat. Alongside this, an Investment Agreement was signed under which Asahi India Glass will take a minimum 26% stake in the project entity to meet India's Captive Power Rules, translating to a 1.22% equity stake for Asahi on the final Phase Completion Date, with AREH4L retaining 98.78%. AREH4L keeps full control over board appointments, and the deal is not a related party transaction.
This is a positive development as AGEL adds a marquee industrial customer (Asahi India Glass) with a long-term power offtake, strengthening revenue visibility. The impact on overall financials is modest given the small equity dilution (1.22%) and limited capacity, so significant stock price movement is unlikely.
