Japan Credit Rating Agency (JCR) has initiated ratings for three Adani group companies. Adani Ports (APSEZ) received A- with Stable outlook, a notch above India's sovereign rating, a rare achievement for an Indian corporate. AGEL and AESL got BBB+ (Stable), at par with India's sovereign. APSEZ's rating reflects its 15 domestic and 4 international ports handling about 30 percent of India's cargo. APSEZ EBITDA rose from INR 7,566 Cr in FY20 to INR 19,025 Cr in FY25.
Positive global credit recognition boosts investor confidence; APSEZ's above-sovereign rating is a rare milestone that may attract foreign institutional capital.
