Adani Ports has announced the final results of its cash tender offers to buy back two series of its US dollar-denominated bonds. The company targeted up to US$345.14 million of its 4.0% Senior Notes due 2027 and up to US$150 million of its 3.10% Senior Notes due 2031. After the early tender date, an additional US$500,000 of the 4.0% notes and US$2,130,000 of the 3.10% notes were tendered, on top of US$101.58 million and US$95.36 million already accepted at the early stage. All late-tendered notes will be accepted in full with no proration. Final settlement is expected around March 16, 2026. The company has hinted it may undertake further liability management exercises in the future as part of its capital management plan.
This is a debt buyback, not an equity action, so there is no direct effect on shares or dividends. Reducing bond liabilities lowers future interest costs and can strengthen the company's credit profile, which is mildly positive for shareholders. Investors should note the company is actively managing its debt stack and may continue such exercises.
