Aegis Vopak Terminals has signed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with its promoter Aegis Logistics Limited (ALL) to acquire an LPG terminal at Pipavav Port with cryogenic static storage capacity of 48,000 MT. The deal is being done on a slump sale basis for a total consideration of ₹428.40 crores, payable on execution. The acquisition more than doubles the company's existing capacity of 22,800 MT, taking total capacity to around 70,800 MT. The new capacity is effective from July 10, 2025, and is being entirely funded through internal accruals with no debt. The terminal's strategic location at Pipavav Port will help the company serve PSU and other customers.
This is a meaningful capacity expansion that strengthens Aegis Vopak's LPG storage business and revenue potential. The use of internal accruals means no debt burden, but as a related-party transaction with the promoter, shareholders will expect fair value and clear post-acquisition performance disclosures.
