Aegis Vopak Terminals Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary CRL Terminals Private Limited (CRL) has signed a Framework Agreement with Aegis Logistics Limited (ALL), the promoter company, to acquire specialized storage terminal assets at Kandla (CRL-4 NDDB) with a capacity of 94,148 cubic meters. The assets were originally constructed and developed by ALL. CRL will pay INR 49.5 Crores to ALL upon execution of the agreement on June 19, 2025. The transaction is a related party deal between the promoter and a subsidiary of the listed company, executed on an arms length basis. No shares are being issued and no special rights are being granted as part of this transaction.
This is a relatively small acquisition (Rs 49.5 Cr) by the listed company's subsidiary from its promoter, which strengthens Aegis Vopak Terminals' storage infrastructure and capacity. As the deal is between related parties at arms length, shareholders should view it as an internal consolidation of terminal assets within the group rather than a transformative event, with limited immediate impact on stock price.
