Aequs Limited signed a joint venture and shareholders agreement on January 16, 2026, with Accel India VIII (Mauritius) Ltd, Vagus Defence Tech and Aerospace Fund I, and Ajna Aerospace and Defence Pvt Ltd. The JV will focus on sourcing and licensing drone (UAV) IP from overseas, developing its own IP, and manufacturing, assembling, testing and selling UAVs in India and abroad. Aequs, Accel and Vagus will hold equal stakes and each nominate one director on the JV board. It is not a related party transaction.
Entry into drone/UAV segment with marquee investors Accel and Vagus could open a new defence and aerospace growth avenue for Aequs.
