On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and in line with its Pharmaceuticals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Alembic Pharmaceuticals received final USFDA approval for Difluprednate Ophthalmic Emulsion 0.05 percent, a generic equivalent of Sandoz Durezol. It is used to treat inflammation and pain after eye surgery and for anterior uveitis. This takes Alembic cumulative ANDA approvals to 233, including 213 final and 20 tentative approvals from USFDA.
Positive for US business. Strengthens Alembic ophthalmology portfolio and adds another generic launch opportunity in the US.
