Alkali Metals' board met on July 18, 2025 and approved three key items. First, the unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) showed revenue from operations rising to ₹2,061.13 lakhs from ₹1,466.74 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a growth of about 40%. The company, however, still reported a net loss of ₹115.30 lakhs, though much narrower than the ₹332.46 lakhs loss posted a year ago. Second, statutory auditor C K S Associates resigned with effect from July 18, 2025. Third, J V S L & Associates (ICAI FRN: 015002S) was appointed as the new statutory auditor to fill this casual vacancy. Exports contributed ₹1,119.22 lakhs of revenue, higher than domestic sales of ₹941.91 lakhs, showing the company's reliance on overseas markets.
Investors should note two things: the business is recovering with a sharp jump in revenue and a much smaller loss, which is a positive operational signal, but the mid-term resignation of the statutory auditor and quick replacement with a new firm may raise governance questions worth monitoring closely.
