NCLT meeting: Shareholders approve ACC amalgamation into Ambuja with 99.98% in favor

Equity shareholders of Ambuja Cements approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of ACC Limited with the company at an NCLT convened meeting held on September 29, 2026. Of about 2.27 billion valid votes cast, 99.98 percent voted in favor while just 0.02 percent (about 5.48 lakh shares) voted against. Promoters with 1.67 billion shares, public institutions, and public non-institutions all supported the deal overwhelmingly. Next steps include NCLT sanction and other regulatory approvals.
