Apollo Micro Systems signed an MoU with the Government of Telangana on Dec 8, 2025 for a greenfield defence manufacturing project involving an investment of around Rs 1500 crores. The project will set up facilities for warheads, rocket motors, artillery systems and ammunition, catering to domestic and overseas demand. The Telangana government will facilitate permissions, approvals and fiscal incentives. The expansion also complements its IDL Explosives subsidiary.
Major capacity expansion in defence manufacturing could drive long-term growth, though near-term execution and regulatory risks remain.
