Apollo Micro Systems has been awarded a Make-II Prototype Sanction Order by the Indian Air Force for developing the IPREK guidance kit. This converts existing 500 Kg bombs into precision standoff weapons usable from 80-100 km away with 3 metre accuracy. Uses indigenous NavIC satellite navigation. No government cost during prototype phase, but procurement is committed upon successful demonstration. Marks AMS entry into precision guided munitions as a Prime OEM.
Positive milestone - entry into high-barrier defence segment with potential follow-on procurement after prototype success
