Archean Chemical's step-down subsidiary SiCSem Private Limited has signed a Fiscal Support Agreement (FSA) with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), formalising Rs. 2,067 crore of committed government CapEx support under the Semicon India Programme. The funds will support India's first approved Silicon Carbide (SiC) Compound Semiconductor Fab and ATMP facility in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The facility targets annual production of ~60,000 SiC wafers and ~96 million SiC MOSFETs and diodes for EV, renewable energy, 5G, and data centre sectors. This follows ISM approval received in August 2025 and prior inter-corporate funding by ACIL to its subsidiary Neun Infra for machinery procurement.
Positive signal — the FSA locks in government fiscal backing for a major semiconductor project, de-risking the Rs. 2,067 crore investment and strengthening ACIL's strategic positioning in India's emerging chip manufacturing ecosystem.
