Arvind Limited has terminated its May 2025 Power Transfer and Share Subscription agreement with Torrent Urja 28 by mutual consent due to capacity reallocation. No equity was ever invested in TU28. Separately, Arvind has signed Power Transfer and Share Subscription deals with Tarug Urja 12 and Tarug Urja 21 to acquire 13.30 percent and 26.60 percent equity stakes, investing up to Rs 3.47 crores and Rs 17.33 crores respectively in cash. The aim is to procure hybrid solar and wind renewable power as a captive user in Gujarat.
Shows Arvind push into renewable energy via captive power tie-ups. Investment size is small, limited immediate financial impact.
