NBCC (India) Limited has signed a 5-year strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Limited on April 7, 2025. The partnership aims to develop Data Centre projects from concept to commissioning, both in India and overseas. Under this collaboration, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy for constructing Data Centre buildings and related civil/passive infrastructure, while RailTel will handle IT-related infrastructure including planning, design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. The partnership is designed to combine the strengths of both government-owned entities for long-term, sustainable growth in the data centre business.
This MoU opens a new revenue stream for NBCC in the fast-growing data centre segment and strengthens its order book visibility over the next 5 years. For shareholders, this signals diversification beyond NBCC's traditional construction and real estate business into high-demand digital infrastructure.
