On the reaction day the stock moved in line with Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.1 pts less than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Ashoka Buildcon has received a Letter of Acceptance from North Western Railway, Jaipur (a government entity under Indian Railways) for an electrical traction upgradation project. The contract is worth Rs. 499.95 Crore including GST and involves design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of upgradation of the electric traction system from 1 x 25 kV to 2 x 25 kV, along with OHE modification for 160 kmph speed, across 581.43 RKM/1210.82 TKM in the Jaipur Division. The project is to be completed within 24 calendar months. The order is domestic and unrelated to promoter/group companies.
This is a meaningful new order worth nearly Rs. 500 Crore from a government client, likely adding materially to the company's order book and providing revenue visibility over the next two years. Positive for the stock, reinforcing Ashoka Buildcon's position in the railway infrastructure segment.
