AstraZeneca Pharma India has received permission from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) to import and market Trastuzumab Deruxtecan (brand name Enhertu) for an additional indication. The drug is now approved for neoadjuvant treatment of adult patients with HER2-positive Stage II or III breast cancer, given before THP therapy (taxane, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab). This expands Enhertu's addressable market in India beyond its current approved uses, subject to any remaining statutory approvals before launch.
Broadens Enhertu addressable market in India for early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer patients, supporting potential future revenue growth.
