On the reaction day the stock moved 12.8 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 14.0 pts more than its 2/3 Wheelers peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Ather Energy's board approved INR 122 crore of expansion spending, including taxes. Hosur's electric two-wheeler capacity will rise from 420,000 to 495,000 units a year by December 2026. At the under-construction Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Factory 3.0, planned annual capacity will rise from 500,000 to 650,000 units by Q2 FY28. Funding will combine debt and internal funds. Of this, INR 53 crore is for a new battery line due by Q3 FY28.
The expansion could lift output and support future sales, but borrowing and execution may pressure near-term cash flow before higher volumes contribute.
