On the reaction day the stock moved 3.2 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 2.2 pts more than its Other Bank peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
AU Small Finance Bank has received approval from the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance to increase the foreign investment limit in the Bank from 49% to 74% of paid-up capital. The approval is permanent with no time limit, but any FDI will still require prior DFS approval. This will give the Bank more headroom to attract foreign capital while complying with consolidated FDI policy and FEMA rules.
Positive for the Bank as a higher foreign investment cap can attract more overseas capital, improve liquidity, and support future growth and stock demand.
