Azad India Mobility Ltd (formerly Indian Bright Steel Co. Ltd) announced its Q1 FY26 results with net sales of Rs. 769.45 lakhs, compared to nil revenue in Q1 FY25, following the acquisition of NAE Mobility Pvt Ltd in October 2024. Total income stood at Rs. 788.69 lakhs and the company swung to a net profit of Rs. 7.39 lakhs from a loss of Rs. 17.26 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. EPS was Rs. 0.02 versus Rs. (0.06) previously. The board also approved a preferential allotment of 88,05,000 equity shares at Rs. 16 per share to promoter-group allottees, raising approximately Rs. 14.09 crores. Additionally, the 64th AGM was fixed for September 26, 2025, and a new secretarial auditor was appointed for a five-year term.
The results mark a strong turnaround driven by the new mobility business, with revenue scaling from zero to nearly Rs. 7.7 crores in a single quarter. The Rs. 16 per share preferential issue to existing promoter entities is at a modest premium to face value and will lead to equity dilution of roughly 22% on the expanded capital base.
