Bajaj Auto will buy back up to 46.94 lakh shares at INR 12,000 per share, for up to INR 5,632.80 crore total. The price offers a 26.31% to 26.53% premium over the 3-month average market price. This is about 1.68% of paid-up capital. Shareholders approved it on June 18, 2026. Promoters are not participating, so public shareholders get a higher entitlement. The buyback is via tender offer on stock exchanges, with 15% reserved for small shareholders.
Eligible shareholders can tender shares at INR 12,000, about 26% above recent market prices. A supportive signal for the stock.
