Bajaj Auto has issued the Letter of Offer for buying back up to 46,94,000 fully paid-up equity shares (about 1.68 percent of paid-up capital) at Rs 12,000 per share, aggregating up to Rs 5,632.80 crore. The buyback is through the tender offer route on a proportionate basis. Record date was June 24, 2026. The buyback window opens July 1, 2026 and closes July 7, 2026, with settlement by July 14, 2026. Promoters and promoter group will not participate. Kotak Mahindra Capital is the manager and KFin Technologies is the registrar.
Eligible shareholders as of June 24, 2026 can tender shares at Rs 12,000. Buyback signals management confidence and may support the stock price.
