Bajaj Auto board and shareholders have approved a buyback of up to 46.94 lakh equity shares (1.68 percent of total) at INR 12,000 per share, aggregating up to INR 5,632.80 crore, through the tender offer route. The buyback price offers about a 25 to 26 percent premium over recent market prices on BSE and NSE. Promoters will not participate. Funded from free reserves and securities premium.
