Bajaj Auto's wholly owned subsidiary BAIH BV has fully repaid Euro 80 million to JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. and DBS Bank Ltd., resulting in termination of loan agreements on 18 May 2026. This repayment was enabled by BAIH AG prepaying all outstanding dues to BAIH BV under a Euro 50 million shareholder loan. BAIH BV had originally borrowed Euro 666 million from four banks in May 2025 for investment activities. In March 2026, BAIH BV had already prepaid Euro 480 million, partially terminating agreements with Citigroup and Standard Chartered. The latest prepayment completes the debt clearance process for BAIH BV.
Positive for shareholders as the subsidiary has successfully reduced its debt burden through early prepayment, strengthening the balance sheet. The termination of loan agreements reduces financial obligations and associated interest costs.
